Four Winds: Festival of the Flute

We are delighted to announce an event for next summer that we have discussed for many years… which is now taking place! From August 9 – 11 we will be hosting a gathering that is original and uniquely special for these islands: Four Winds, a festival that celebrates and honours the flute, an instrument which channels the sacred breath of nature and of the ancient land. This festival will be created and hosted by Nigel Shaw and feature his long-time flute brothers Guillermo Martinez (USA, Tarascan tribe) and Hiroki Okano (Japan), as well as many fine guests including Lua Maria, Adrian Freedman, Michael Ormiston, Domenic Decicco. The weekend will offer flute circles, workshops, instrument crafting, masterclasses, evening concerts, open mic sessions and much more. The event is for those who have made a flute, play a flute or are interested in starting a journey with the flute.

There will be camping at Lower Merripit Farm, plus local B&B alternatives.  Places for this event are limited to 100 people.
